A steady crowd of on-lookers admired the impressive display of artistry and craftsmanship by exhibitors at this year’s Quilts in Bloom, held Friday and Saturday  at the Keystone Complex in Shedden. It was the fifth edition of the biennial event which showcases the talents of quilters working in both traditional and more modern interpretations.

The Third Annual Railway City Arts Crawl took place this past Friday and Saturday. It was bigger and better than ever! Along the "Crawl" we discovered artists who showcased an amazing range of unique work.    

Families enjoyed time together on Family Day, February 15th. Two local stops with activities for kids to do included St. Thomas Public Elgin Art Centre in St. Thomas and the Sparta Tea Room in Sparta.

Art Emporium Port Stanley member artist Candy McManiman has won First Prize for her heartwarming capture 'Sunning' in Focusing On Wildlife's international photo of the week competition! Candy does not only the gallery, but all conservation artists in Elgin County and worldwide, proud.

The 6th annual Culture Days weekend took place from September 25th to 27th in every province simultaneously and saw hundreds of communities of all sizes take part from coast to coast to coast – that included St. Thomas & Elgin County with a varied list of unique events.

“Portside Goes Big”, Portside Gallery’s show of amply proportioned works opened September 4th. Many of the twenty artists were on hand for the busy reception on a lovely Friday evening in Port Stanley.
