Seven local businesses and organizations presented their best soups in a competition for Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice Awards at the 5th Annual Soups On at St. Anne’s on Thursday. It’s become a traditional mid-winter community warming event, and funds raised from admissions, a bountiful silent auction and draw help support Heart & Stroke research.

The foundation is building a network of the AEDs that has already saved many live and has the potential to save thousands more. Their goal is to make more of the units available in public places across Canada, and give people the knowledge to use the units in saving lives.
