Sap Runs for Kick-Off Weekend at Springwater Maple Syrup Festival

The Springwater Maple Syrup Festival opened February 27th under sunny skies. Visitors to the Springwater Forest will find lots of ways to enjoy the outdoors and learn about maple syrup each weekend till March 20th and all week long during March Break. 

Above, photos from the opening Sunday of the 2016 Festival. One young visitor came with his mom and grandmother to visit the Festival and helped staff at Springwater demonstrate some of the old methods of syrup production (photos row 2&3).  

The Springwater Maple Syrup Festival takes place Sat Feb 27th to Sun Mar 20th, weekends and March Break. Enjoy wagon rides through the Springwater Forest. Tour the old-fashioned sugar shanty for demonstrations on maple syrup production. Maple products are available for sale. Dine at our pancake house which is operated by local community organizations.
