Port Stanley Show Impresses Judge & Patrons

6/10/2013

The Port Stanley Artists’ Guild annual show and sale is an always anticipated display of local artistic talent. Again this year, many people were commenting on the high-calibre of the submissions from thirty-four artists.

Visitors found they needed to spend quite a while to just begin to take in and appreciate all there was to see. Jill Price, curator and artist in residence at Gallery 111 in Barrie judged the show, providing insights which were of interest to both artists and viewers, on the selected works.
Above, artists Melanie Demsyn & Tanton (bottom left) and Pat Curtis, Betty Burwell & S'ine Maule (bottom right). You'll find some of the artwork and comments from the judge on the Port Stanley Artists' Guild Facebook Page.
