The Miniature Show and Sale returned to the Portside Gallery in Port Stanley, after a hiatus in 2016. Crowds of visitors and many of the over 49 artists who submitted works celebrated its opening on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Port Stanley.
The show offers an opportunity for gallery members as well as many other local artists to show their work. Catherine Prong (top left) has shown work at Portside in the past and chose to celebrate Canada150 with her trio of dancing maple leaves. S'ine Maule (bottom left) is a gallery member who won honourable mention for one of her miniature landscapes, "Red Sail" and praise from judge Sheila Harris who said “it reminds me of the old masters ... perfect in every way". Susan Chapman-Reinke (bottom right) was delighted with the chance to exhibit for the first time with two of her miniatures.
