The creative talent of many local elementary students is now on display at the St. Thomas Elgin Public Art Centre, part of the exhibit “Great Beginnings Elementary”. At the Saturday opening, many of the students and their friends and families crowded the centre for a peek.
Greetings and congratulations to the artists were extended on behalf of Elgin County by Jack Couckuyt, Mayor of Aylmer, and from the City of St. Thomas by Mayor Heather Jackson. Mayor Jackson noted that it is her favourite exhibition that happens at the Art Centre.
Mayor Jackson also noted, “I can’t help but noticing there are a large number of snowmen.” It was clear what was inspiring many of the artists over this unusually snowy winter.
