10/20/2017

St. Thomas Public Library, October 20, 2017 – Construction has officially started on the new reading garden on the west side of St. Thomas Public Library. The reading garden will be located outside of the Ingram Room (the children’s programming room) on the Lower Level.
Ron Koudys Landscape Architects re-imagined the area to be configured like an amphitheatre, with seats in varying heights created using a material called armourstone. A variety of plants and trees will surround to create a cozy, inviting natural space that we hope will be used for quiet reading, socializing, and outdoor programming.

A grand opening will take place in spring 2018, when the garden will be ready for all to enjoy!
