Cowboys, cowgirls and crowds, along with a whole lot of horses sauntered on Saturday over to this year's home for the Cactus, Cattle & Cowboys Western Festival in Rodney.
It was the tenth anniversary of the annual equine-focused festival which features a noon horse parade on the main street along with horse displays, demos, wagon rides, children’s activities, food and vendors and a jam-packed entertainment schedule. The festival took place in West Lorne for its first nine years, but horse owners and visitors seemed to settle quite nicely into the 2014 location at the Rodney Fairground, where there’s even “Ye Old Jail” to add some ‘days of yesteryear’ ambience.
