Her debut cookbook, Taste & Technique – Recipes to Elevate Your Home Cooking, was released in September 2016. I was intrigued to check it out, having heard that Ellen Laing, daughter of local Orchard Hill Farm owners Ken and Martha Laing, had worked along-side Naomi in preparing dishes for all of the photographs in the book. |
Elgin County’s guide to bringing home unbeatable flavours from local producers has evolved over the years, from a line drawing to a full-colour map/guide. In 2010 it was also rebranded with a new logo and the “Buy Local, Buy Fresh” name. On August 20th, the network launched a brand new interactive website version of the map, linked to individual farm pages, Facebook and Twitter. It is fifteen years since the publication of the blockbuster cookbook Looneyspoons by St. Thomas born sisters Janet & Greta Podleski. Three best-selling cookbooks later (Looneyspoons was followed by Crazy Plates and Eat, Shrink and Be Merry), they are celebrating their anniversary with the launch of The Looneyspoons Collection. |
