The Port Stanley Artists’ Guild Annual Show is an eagerly anticipated event of early summer. Representatives of the 50-strong guild are known to consistently bring a fine selection of work to the show, and to present it in a viewer-friendly display in the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Stanley. This proved true again this year at the show which was judged by Josepha Van Den Anker who praised pieces which engaged, intrigued and captivated in different ways.
The event also included a tribute to Elizabeth Spence who passed away earlier this year in February; she was remembered for her creative energy, dedication to developing her own skills, and work with other artists.
The show ran from the Friday June 8 opening evening to Sunday June 10. Photographer Mark Girdauskas was on hand Sunday to capture some of the multi-media artistry on display.
