Living Well Beyond Cancer Program

Living Well Beyond Cancer is a self-management program for cancer survivors and caregivers. It coaches post-treatment survivors and caregivers on how to:

Deal
with the emotional, physical and social aspects of living with and beyond cancer
Manage symptoms, treatment side effects and medications
Improve communication with healthcare team members and others
Lead a healthy lifestyle, manage stress, set goals and problem solve

Program at-a-glance

Free community-based program that is offered in a weekly 2.5 hour-long session over six consecutive weeks
Involves 8 to 15 registered participants
Offers a free resource book to participants
Led by trained Peer Leader volunteers

When: Every Tuesday for 6 weeks, starting September 4th, 2012
Time: 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: St. Thomas Public Library, 153 Curtis St., St. Thomas
