Quai du Vin musical event newbies are usually heard to exclaim, “Wow, this is amazing…so many people…out here…having so much fun!” To Summer Sounds Delicious veterans, it’s not a surprise anymore…but still….so much fun!
The “Summer Sounds Delicous” season and other musical events have been fine-tuned to perfection. They are well run with great wines made on-site, beer for those who wish it, a large inviting shiny dance floor atop the grass, a line-up of always enjoyable musical acts, the ginormous tent for those seeking shelter, and grass sloped perfectly down to a stage where musicians seem to enjoy performing.
The latest Quai du Vin event was their “Ultimate Tributes”. Even as a seasoned attendee, I couldn’t help thinking that all was especially superlative at Quai du Vin on Sunday (July 8).

Clusters of grapes were full and plentiful on the vines. The wines available at the vineyard just keep getting more delicious. The six tribute acts were fine for dancing and relaxing, ending with a “Fleetwood Nicks” act that the crowd was reluctant to let leave. The sell-out attendance of one thousand people filled the outdoor sitting area; parking lots were bursting to overflowing.
In addition, “Ultimate Tributes” was sponsored by The Co-operators as an Easter Seals fundraiser and as such it helps fill the needs of children and youth with physical disabilities.
Evidently, a Quai du Vin event is also a fine way to celebrate a special occasion – at least one large group was there Sunday for a “significant” birthday party.

Then, there’s the host of it all, Roberto Quai with his endless supply of Mardi Gras beads for tossing. Watch out! It’s got to be difficult not to throw with exuberance with things going this well!
