Several St. Thomas running enthusiasts answered the invitation to end 2011 with one last fun filled run on Saturday December 31st. Terri Biloski of Run For Your Life, a St. Thomas specialty centre for running programs and gear has organized the run for the past several years.
For this race, speed doesn’t matter. No timing devices are allowed and runners are asked to predict their finish time over 5km or 10km, then just run for the sheer enjoyment of it.
And judging by the looks on everyone’s faces, they did just that.

The weather on Saturday was a bit warmer than usual, and runners turned up in numbers about double that of last year's. Kids also took part in a 1 km run before the official start of the adult events.
The race ended back at the store with refreshments and awards.

Terri offers a full range of programs for all levels of runners, expert advice, and a store full of gear to make running comfortable (and judging by the great colours and materials, attractive too). Running group members also benefit from support and motivation from fellow runners.
