Four homes in Aylmer and area put on a fine festive show on Friday and Saturday as their owners graciously invited visitors to come inside and check out their holiday décor during the 11th Annual Christmas Tour of Homes.
The tour included (above, clockwise from top left) a lovingly restored farmhouse built in 1903, a modern bungalow, a stately yellow brick house brimming with antiques and memorabilia and an example of the Arts & Craft period. The museum was also included on the tour with exhibits and treats. With a new name this year - The Aylmer-Malahide Museum & Archives - it is celebrating its 35th anniversary.

Organized by the volunteers of the museum, the event is an important yearly fundraiser. During the earlier part of the Saturday tour hours, volunteer Larry Jeffery noted that there had been 370 visitors at the location where he was stationed. He estimated that close to 100 volunteers have some part in organizing and helping with the tour.
