Mustang Products to Open St. Thomas Operations in Fall 2016

7/19/2016

St. Thomas, Ontario – The St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is very pleased to welcome one of Canada’s largest licensed goods suppliers to the City, as Mustang Products has purchased the property at 35 Currah Road in St. Thomas, formerly owned by Masco Canada (Brasscraft).
Founded in London, Ontario in 2003, Mustang is 100% Canadian owned and operated and provides a wide range of licensed products, ranging from apparel to drinkware to novelty items from some of the most recognizable brands in the world. The company’s expansive list of clients includes such brands as the NHL, the NBA, the NFL, Major League Baseball and even an exclusive contract for all beverageware provided for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics.

Mustang President Brad Sparling is excited with the direction the company is taking and said that “This move allows us to take advantage of St Thomas’ strong talent pool and cost-effective environment to continue to build the company into a leading provider of licensed products in Canada."

With a strong focus on innovation and a solution-based corporate value system that is driven by customer demand and service, Mustang takes familiar brands and brings them to life in products geared toward specific target audiences. Their in-house graphics and product development team, along with their ability to be versatile within their vertically integrated manufacturer/decorator environment allows Mustang to deliver on a variety of projects. Whether the need is a one-off custom design or a longer term national distribution and e-store program with warehousing and sales fulfillment need, Mustang can create the right solution.

St. Thomas Mayor Heather Jackson said “I couldn’t be happier to welcome Mustang Products to our community. Their investment in St. Thomas further demonstrates that our City is moving in the right direction and providing the services and business climate that companies need in order to grow.”

Mustang Products employs 30 people, with seasonal growth up to 50 people to meet the demands of their business. The company will begin the moving process in August and will be operational in St. Thomas this fall.
