Elgin County, Ontario – Today, Elgin Children’s Network (ECN) is excited to announce their new online portal: www.ElginChildrensNetwork.ca. This new website will link parents, caregivers and service providers to resources and information geared towards supporting the well-being of children and families in Elgin County.
Developed through funding provided by the Ministry of Education and linked with the Southwest Healthline, this new website provides: direct information about local services including Child Care, Ontario Early Years Centres, Libraries, Health services, etc.; links to websites for hundreds of agencies, programs and services available in the region; and an online library of print and video resources. The site also features upcoming events and programs geared towards children and families.
“In addition to parents and families, we hope this site will also help educators, health care providers, and our community as a whole be better connected to information and services in Elgin,” says Gough. “Elgin Children’s Network is about collaboration. We believe strongly that everyone has a role to play in creating a community where every child gets the best start in life. We feel that this site will play an important part in bringing people together and is part of the work that we’re doing to make our community a great place to raise a child!”
