St. Thomas, Ontario - The Elgin County Railway Museum (ECRM) Board of Directors approved the conceptual Site Master Plan as presented by a+LiNK at their August 18th meeting. The ECRM Site Master Plan – “Railway Park” Design is an exciting long-term vision created around the community’s desire to have a multi-use central park for all ages, with the ability to provide event space, recreation activities, and extend the heritage culture of the Elgin County Railway Museum.

St. Thomas, Ontario - The City of St. Thomas and Elgin St. Thomas Public Health invite families to the bandshell at Pinafore Park this Saturday, August 20th, for a free screening of Disney’s The Jungle Book. In July more than 700 people attended the Smoke-Free Movie Night at Pinafore Park, so families are encouraged to arrive early and bring their lawn chairs and blankets. The movie gets underway at dusk.

In 2014 Central Elgin completed a Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update. The results of
this study identified trails as one of the most significant, popular and valued resources in Central Elgin. To move this forward, the Municipality is developing a Ten Year Trails Master Plan. Input from residents of Central Elgin is needed – involvement can be by filling our a study questionnaire, emailing the study team or attending a public event in October 2016. St. Thomas, ON St. Thomas’ favourite festival is back. The Iron Horse Festival will take place August 18th-21st, on the Elgin County Railway Museum grounds.
