Summer Concert Series Featuring Music's Greatest Icons in the Railway City Big Top

5/25/2017

St. Thomas, Ontario - Music’s Greatest Icons will make 6 stops in St. Thomas this summer, as Elvis, ABBA, Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart and some of the most famous names in country music history will be represented by the best tribute artists in North America, all under the Railway City Big Top.

The Railway City Concert Series will fill the air with memorable hit songs as the best of the best tribute shows in North America take a pause from the larger cities to grace the huge stage under the incredible 1500+ seat Railway City Big Top, all in support of railway heritage assets in St. Thomas.
This huge concert series will get started with the most iconic name of them all...Elvis. For the first time in years Roy LeBlanc and his band will make their triumphant return to St. Thomas as they perform under one of North America’s largest circus tents – a unique and special venue for this homecoming, appropriately located in downtown St. Thomas on August 3rd at 7:30pm, with their incomparable Elvis and Roy Orbison Show.

One week later, on August 10th, the Big Top will welcome Always ABBA. As this show tours the world 8 months of the year, they have never been seen in the St. Thomas area and is not only the most sought after ABBA act in Canada, but extremely well-respected worldwide.

From Hot Legs to Maggie May, Doug Varty performs his Rod Stewart Forever Young act to round out the month on August 31st. This show continuously has audiences dancing in the aisles and singing out loud, with so many memorable hit songs by an artist who is hailed as one of the great tributes to this legendary performer.

With the kids back in school, the sounds of summer will continue on September 14th as Baz Littlerock brings a little rock music with an incredible tribute to BON JOVI. Few rockers from the 80's have maintained their level of fame like Bon Jovi. With a voice that is hard to emulate due to its raw power and ability to belt out incredible notes, it is hard to find a convincing tribute to this global superstar. You won't believe your eyes and ears when one of the best tribute artists in the world performs this tribute to BON JOVI and rocks the core of the city.

On September 28th, St. Thomas will welcome The Kings and Queens of Country with Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty and Lorretta Lynn to the Railway City Big Top. There are too many number one hits to list between these 4 iconic country music legends. From the Coal Miner's Daughter to Folsom Prison to Crazy and Hello Darlin’ this will be a memorable night for any classic country fan and a great opportunity to introduce the young ones to some great music.

The Railway City Concert Series will come to a close on October 13th & 14th with the 1st ever King of the Railway City Competition as Roy LeBlanc hosts an Elvis Competition right in St. Thomas. With prize money and bragging rights on the line, 15 Elvis Tribute Acts from all over will be in St. Thomas for this fun and entertaining event. All those who come out to the Big Top will have a chance to have their voices heard as they choose their favourite in the People's Choice category. This will definitely be two full days of hip swivelling, lip curling fun and it will be another amazing first for our community.

All tickets to these six amazing events will go on sale on June 1st at only $20 per ticket. Or, for those music enthusiasts, limited numbers of All-Access Passes for the entire series will be available for $100 and will include all six concerts.

Tickets go on sale June 1st at www.railwaycitybigtop.com.
