Living Well Beyond Cancer is a self-management program for cancer survivors and caregivers. It coaches post-treatment survivors and caregivers on how to:
Deal with the emotional, physical and social aspects of living with and beyond cancer
Manage symptoms, treatment side effects and medications
Improve communication with healthcare team members and others
Lead a healthy lifestyle, manage stress, set goals and problem solve

St. Thomas, Ontario, July 30, 2012 – This spring an online survey was launched asking residents of Elgin St Thomas to share their thoughts on cycling, walking, skateboarding, rollerblading, and other forms of activity. All completed surveys will be entered for a chance to win a new bicycle. The online survey will be closing in August and we need to hear from as many residents as possible.
The Station Parkette in downtown St. Thomas was the place on Saturday July 14th to listen to a little live music, view some local art, and pause for a while to relax and soak up some sunshine. Art in the Park brought together ten artists in mediums from clay to paint, beads, fabric and stamps for their second event of the summer. Shugg and the Temporary Men performed and children stopped in at the free crafts centre, compliments of St. Thomas Elgin Public Art Centre, to create colourful rain-sticks.
Quai du Vin musical event newbies are usually heard to exclaim, “Wow, this is amazing…so many people…out here…having so much fun!” To Summer Sounds Delicious veterans, it’s not a surprise anymore…but still….so much fun!
Railway Day Camp will provide children with a chance to to experience what it was like during the Railway Age in St. Thomas. The camp is being offered August 20th - 24th by the Canada Southern Railway Station & Elgin County Railway Museum.
Miller Park was the perfect place to bring your prize car or your kids on Canada Day in West Lorne. A shaded area in Miller Park was the venue for the Optimist Club of West Lorne breakfast and Show & Shine car/van show. Starting early afternoon families with kids found fun at the Country Carnival with facepainting, games, bouncy castle and other entertainments. Then it was on to the Fish Fry and Fireworks to complete a busy July 1 at the park.
